Welcome to Harvieston Hall, a 17th century grand manor house set just 9 miles from Edinburgh. A grand holiday home for exclusive rental.
A country retreat for hire, catering for groups of up to 34 across apartments throughout the fabulous venue.
Edinburgh is just 20 minutes away, easy public transport links or use our VIP transfer service into the city.
Ideal for large families, international guests visiting to enjoy the local Scottish culture, including historic city tours, golfing events and whiskey distilleries!
Set in mature wildlife gardens Harvieston Hall offers a rather grand retreat from life’s hustle and bustle making the venue ideal for company weekends away or a big party with friends and family.
Our bespoke service offers so much more, catering, events on the house gardens or country pursuits locally we can help you have a memorable event.
Room Layout
The country lounge with it’s a large open fire will bring the warmth back from big walks in the country.
We have split the property into lots of apartments, which all come together based on your group numbers. We allocate all the main communal areas including dining hall, lounge, main kitchen and apartments for at least 25 guests upon the initial booking, and then depending on you group numbers allocate any further apartments.
You have exclusive access for you booking, you do not share any communal areas!
The Dining Hall
The dining hall is usually set up for 20-25 guests to enjoy with plenty of space. A second table for a further 10 guests can comfortably fit in the dining hall.
Kitchens – each apartment has it’s own kitchen
The German designer kitchen is a as luxurious as it looks, with plenty of white goods to make your life easy, two fridges and lots of storage space for big families and groups of friends staying with us. This always part of the initial rental
Ground Floor
On the ground floor you will find bathrooms, four bedrooms and the games room to keep the children happy while the grown up’s relax in front of the fire.
Games at Harvieston
Games: pool table, board games air hockey game and card table. Plus lots of books!
The Grand Staircase
The Grand staircase leads to the second floor of property and 5 further apartments, and four bathrooms.
The Grand Bedroom
The Grand bedroom, comfortably sleeping 6 guests in splendour and still has space to relax and enjoy the spectacular gold leaf ceiling in all its glory.

Just returned from a great weekend at harvieston Hall. We were a party of 22 for a hen weekend and it catered for all our needs, plenty space, beds all made, towels provided lovely log burner in the main reception room.

We have never been away in such a large group!! Seen this house and we booked it straight away, as soon as we step in, everyone is just feel amazed by this house, cant believe how spacious it was and how nice and warming it was, the owner was so helpful so nice!

Harvieston Hall is a really excellent place for a large group. It’s a beautiful old property, kept in really good shape. Phil – our contact person at the Hall – went above and beyond to help us (he even sorted out a TV for us to watch the Champions League final) and was great at communicating throughout.
